Verona Motor Bike Expo Preview: Amore Motociclistico

Dec 28 2018

Despite the broken record of declining motorcycle sales over the past decade, we’ve seen a meteoric rise in new custom bike shows. While each offers something uniquely individual in its own right, you’d be hard-pressed to find one that compares to the overall size and scope of the Motor Bike Expo (MBE).

Since its debut in 2009, the MBE has grown to become a mecca for motorcycle enthusiasts and fans of custom culture from around the world. Held every January in Verona, Italy, the MBE kicks off the New Year with the proverbial bang, bringing together the industry’s top OEMs and aftermarket brands alongside some of the most talented custom builders in the game.

The 2018 show had over 850,000 square feet of exhibitor space, close to 1,000 exhibitors/vendors, and more than 232,000 square feet of outdoor attractions that included stunt shows, trials courses, endure cross races, and much more to keep the 167,000+ attendees entertained.

Shows like Mama Tried in Milwaukee, Born Free in SoCal and Handbuilt in Austin, Texas, to name just a few, put the true craftsmanship, ingenuity and history of custom motorcycle culture front and center. Whereas more consumer-centric events like the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows or AIM Expo cater to the masses, largely focusing on introducing attendees to the latest OEM production models and aftermarket products. MBE balances the line of showcasing both sides of the spectrum, and it’s been a recipe for success since day one.

The massive spread is laid out over nine Halls, each catering to a specific niche. From café racers to choppers, big-wheeled baggers to flat-trackers; whatever you ride, there’s something for everyone at the sprawling Veronafiere complex. And every year it gets bigger and better.

We’re stoked to be heading back to beautiful and historic Verona for the 2019 MBE taking place January 17-20. If you’re lucky enough to check this off your moto bucket list, stop by Hall 2 Booth 6N and visit our crew!
