TEAM USA
KURYAKYN IS A PROUD SPONSOR
NAME Faith Ahlers
AGE 45
BIRTHPLACE Oakdale, Illinois
RIDER EXPERIENCE 12 years
MOTORCYCLE Indian Chieftain Dark Horse
STARTING POINT St. Michael, MN - Bison Thunder Motorcycle

Although Faith got her first taste of freedom on a motorcycle in 1988, she admittedly didn’t become serious about riding until about 12 years ago. She credits her older brother for sharing his passion and getting her hooked on the lifestyle by taking her on long rides as a kid growing up. Fast-forward a few decades and Faith is now an avid rider and powersports industry veteran, currently helping dealerships across the country stock their showrooms as a Kuryakyn Dealer Direct Rep. Faith’s also a die-hard Victory Motorcycles rider and rides a Judge as her daily scoot, with a Kingpin serving as backup.

When asked why she accepted this challenge, Faith simply replied, “I look at this journey as a bucket list ride. It’s going to be an epic adventure and I really hope my journey encourages more women to get out, ride and make their own memories.”

To prepare for tackling the 15,000-plus-mile trek, Faith has been committed to a steady strength and endurance training regimen, eating healthy, and practicing sleep management.

TEAM SWITZERLAND
NAME Isa Müller
AGE 45
BIRTHPLACE Boswil, Switzerland
RIDER EXPERIENCE 10 years
MOTORCYCLE BMW S 1000 R
STARTING POINT Zurich, Switzerland – Love Ride

Hailing from Switzerland, Isa lives by the motto, “Ladies first, no risk, no fun.” We agree on all accounts. Isa’s a self-described petrol head with gasoline running through her veins and a dedicated love affair with the biker lifestyle. She earns a living in the printing business, but when she’s not putting ink to paper she spends every waking minute pursuing her passion of life on two wheels. The first bike Isa ever owned was a Yamaha DT125, a perfect choice for the rugged and mountainous Swiss region.

Currently, Isa’s stable is stocked with a Yamaha FZ1 that’s packing quite a few more ponies than her first ride. When asked what got her into motorcycling, she was quick to call out her “motorcycle addicted crazy family background”. Sounds like our kind of family.

A few years ago Isa was in what she described as a major motorcycle accident. Her personal goal throughout this challenging journey is to “get back on track” and return to feeling secure and at home on two wheels. To prepare, she’s riding as much as possible and sticking to a strict workout routine.

TEAM AUSTRIA
NAME Anita Fastl
AGE 47
BIRTHPLACE Wagna, Austria
RIDER EXPERIENCE 8 years
MOTORCYCLE Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L
STARTING POINT St. Nikolai ob Drassling, Austria

Although she has the least experience of the four riders, Anita is definitely game for the challenge and thrill of riding around the globe. She grew up in southeast Austria, spent time living in Canada, and is a true wanderlust at heart. Anita got her motorcycle endorsement when she was 18, but didn’t have the means or time to ride until 2010 when she got her first bike, a red BMW F650GS dual-sport, that took her all over the Austrian countryside and beyond.

When Anita isn’t exploring on her Africa Twin, she enjoys making fashion jewelry and woodworking. However, her true passion is motorcycling first and foremost, going on long rides with her boyfriend and seeing the world from behind bars.

Her reasons for competing in the Women’s World Record Ride are to see different countries, meet new people, and expand her strength of body and mind throughout this difficult journey. She also hopes to use her experience as a platform for promoting women in motorcycling. Anita is a firm believer that strength and fitness is key to completing this mission, and she most definitely looks forward to the adventure!

TEAM RUSSIA
NAME Tatiana Igushina
AGE 29
BIRTHPLACE Kaza, Russia
RIDER EXPERIENCE 11 years
MOTORCYCLE Ducati Scrambler 1100
STARTING POINT St. Petersburg, Russia

Tatiana learned to hone her riding skills on a scooter amidst the hustle and bustle of traffic on the streets of Moscow. To her, riding means freedom, adrenaline, passion and speed! This go-fast queen traded her scooter for just a little more horsepower in the form of a Ducati Monster 626 Limited Edition and never looked back. In fact, she’s made a habit of competing against (and beating) male riders on the tracks as a professional racer for the past three years.

As the competition’s youngest rider, her goal when she turns 30 is to write a journal on the subject “Cool Things I’ve Done So Far”. If riding around the world on a Ducati Scrambler can’t provide some fuel for that topic, we’re not sure what can.

Like the other riders, Tatiana is getting her body prepared for this arduous trip through daily workouts that include yoga, jogging, swimming and gym sessions. She’s also made a point to ride on unfamiliar terrain off-road and on slippery surfaces to ensure she’s ready for whatever crosses her path.
